This bibliographic essay originally appeared in the October 2019 issue of Choice (volume 57 | number 2).

Introduction

Far Right actors are gradually moving from the margins toward the political mainstream in many European countries. The Continent has a long history of Far Right political regimes. The rising danger for liberal democracy and for further European integration requires in-depth analyses of these phenomena. Following the recent trends in political and social reality, and using different methodological tools, multidisciplinary studies provide answers related to the origins, current developments, and predictions regarding Far Right political actors. Some of them focus exclusively on the political Far Right; others take it as an element in the large spectrum of anti-systemic groups.
